Whether you’re a buyer or a seller, Scott takes the time to listen and to understand – and then he puts the wheels in motion to make your real estate dreams come true. While some agents pride themselves on remaining detached from the outcome, Scott becomes involved and attached to his clients as an advisor, a protector, and a friend. As such, he’s always willing to advise against going forward if he feels it’s not in his client’s best interests.
Technology plays a huge part in Scott’s real estate practice, for three reasons. First is that the latest technology allows him to market his listings to targeted audiences around the world. He can provide interested buyers with everything from detailed information to virtual tours within seconds. No matter where he is, all the information he needs is at his fingertips and available to share.
Next, technology allows him to communicate with everyone involved in a real estate transaction – also within seconds.
The final reason is his concern for the environment. Scott works to reduce Pabalyn Properties’ carbon footprint by going paperless whenever feasible. He does understand that some clients want and need paper documents, however, and he’s happy to hand-deliver those documents and discuss them face-to-face.
While he makes it a point to maintain good working relationships with all area REALTORS®, Scott is a strong negotiator – using facts and figures to back his client’s position.
A mortgage lender before he became a Broker, Scott is adept at helping his clients understand the financial side of their transactions – whether it’s calculating the net proceeds of a sale, explaining loan documents to a buyer, or determining the feasibility of a real estate investment.
True to his passion for real estate, Scott is himself an investor. He’s purchased and sold investment properties, been involved with rehabbing homes, and subdivided land for future home sites. He can relate to investor concerns because he’s been in their shoes.
Scott does occasionally take time to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that San Diego County is famous for. His hobbies include surfing, free-diving, backpacking, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, and traveling. He, his wife, and their three children also take part in the many community events and activities that help make this area a perfect place to raise a family. They also enjoy their pets: Penny, their Wire Haired Pointing Griffon, and Merlin, a 60# tortoise.
When newcomers want to know about the neighborhoods, school systems, local events, restaurants, and the best places to enjoy San Diego County with their children, they need only ask. Scott is always happy to share his knowledge of all that San Diego County has to offer.
